G-Tec’s Turbo Tank Products division has experienced significant growth this year after receiving an exclusive contract to provide heated-oil cooler-line flushers to American Honda Motor Co. dealers, according to Steve Glassinger, president of G-Tec.
The initial order from Honda’s Service Technology Group was for 1,285 units of the heated-oil, pulsating air-purging cooler and line-cleaning system dedicated to the specific needs of Honda dealers, Glassinger said. “Because of this contract, we have had to increase our production to 120 units per week; move into a new, larger facility, and hire 15 new employees, which is just the beginning of the new growth we have experienced,” he said.
The contract with the Honda dealer-service group followed testing and evaluation that pitted Turbo Tank’s system against those of competing producers of hot-oil flushers, he said.
In addition to the Honda contract, Ford Motor Co. has renewed its contract with G-Tec for Turbo Tank to be the exclusive flusher in the Ford Rotunda tool-and-equipment program for dealers, Glassinger said. G-Tec first started producing flushers for Ford in 1998.
G-Tec has been producing heated-oil cooler-line flushers since 1991.
